ASSIGNMENT BOOK PAGES

Each of my children has their own assignment book (these covers shown are not part of the set . . . I will be adding some though in a future update). We use our ProClick binding tool to put these together (see info on binding tool at our sister site NotebookingPages.com.)

MISCELLANEOUS FORMS AND PRINTABLE PAGES
Favorite Websites, Books Read, etc.

How I assemble our ASSIGNMENT BOOK PAGES:

  1. In the very front, I put our Daily Attendance Logs for each month.
  2. Then their daily chore charts & daily routine/schedule.
  3. Then, tabbed sections for all subjects (I buy sticky colored index tabs from Walmart). Within each subject tab, I keep their Daily Lesson Log or Daily Unit Log. (more details below)
  4. Lastly, I add things like spelling lists/log, memorization pieces (Bible verses, poems, etc.), and any other reference material they made need throughout the year.

How I use our ASSIGNMENT BOOK PAGES:

Daily Attendance Log
I write in the subjects across the top and dates down the side. Then, I will use a highlighter to highlight the individual boxes for each subject the kids need to do that day/week. You could also pencil in the amount of time spent on each subject in the little boxes if that’s required by your state and tally the day’s total in one of the last boxes.

Daily Unit Log
I use this page for our studies that span over more than a week’s time. I do not use the “Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday” headings. Instead I use “Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, etc.”. Then I make a list of reading assignments and activities for each day. I use the longer boxes at the bottom for activities that span the week like experiments, mapping assignments, timelining, etc.

Daily Lesson Log (Assignment Book)
This is our GREATEST gem.
These are great for planning a whole quarter/semester/year’s worth of assignments at one time. I fill in these pages as much as possible on the computer and then print and add to their notebooks. That’s what I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE about these DIY sheets. You can enter the info, SAVE it, make individualized copies of worksheets right within the file . . . and if you mess up . . . come back here to download a fresh new copy! When I print them out, I do not date the assignments, but instead make a full chronological/ordered list for subjects that fit this kind of planning. I will type things to be done with Mom in a different color so they know what things need to wait. When they have finished a particular assignment, they date and mark the appropriate boxes. It has made the kids really OWN their school day — a simply fantastic tool!

I have offered you so many options within this file – 21 different pages. You can rename the columns as needed to fit your particular subjects/courses. You can also make duplicate copies of pages you like right there within the file and give them new names like . . . Math-Johnny, Math-Susie, LA I, LA II, etc. Very versatile! Tell us how you are using these pages with your family in our comment box below. I’d love to hear from you!

    Hi,
I have been needing a page for my website lists, (other than sticky notes,) but am getting an Not Found, Error 404 message?

  • MomsToolBelt

    Hi Bonnie,
Sorry about that! All links should be working properly now.
    –Debra Reed

  • Linda Larson

Hi Debra – Love these, are you planning more homeschool specific pages? So far I am loving everything I am seeing, you have done an awesome job – all the pages are just so cheerful, makes planning far more pleasant. Thanks for all the hard work.

  • MomsToolBelt

    Hi Linda,
Yes, we will be adding more forms to this section. What would you like to see? ;)

    Bring on the ideas ladies!
    –Debra Reed

  • Autumn Gelinas

    Debra,

Do you think a lesson planning page that we can type in our own subjects and/or type in the boxes what the lesson would be possible??

    Thanks!

  • Janis Uribe

    Hey Deb,

You have helped me out so much on getting more organized. Thanks for all the hard work you put into making this a lot more easier for us Mom’s.

  • Kaari

I think you provide a wonderful variety of lists and pages that we can use! I really like the long lists with or without the boxes to check when it is finished (purchased, baked, etc.).

Also I really like boxes of various sizes, lined areas and separated areas with cute artwork. I can put meal ideas, unit study ideas, steps to complete a project, packing lists, or anything at all in there! When I need to make notes I always print out my Mom pages because they are the best! I’m always cutting the segments apart to pin with my project, tape to the computer, or tack to the fridge.

How about receipe pages for favorite meals.

  • Tracy

I am loving the new Homeschool planning sheets!! I have already begun to work on our school for January. I was wondering if it would be possible to have the cover and divider sheets with the school art on it?
I also love the receipe idea, I have been wanting to redo my receipe book for so long, maybe it would be good motivation?!
    Thanks for all your work!

  • Vickie Weers

I love the planner sheets. Thanks for those. Getting ready to work on January’s plans.

  • Vickie Weers

I had a thought – maybe a planner for making lapbooks would be cool too. I am working on one right now and would love to have it match my notebook.

  • Deann Atwood

LOVE the homeschool updates for December!!! Keep the greatness coming! :)
    Hugs!

  • Jocelyn Luciano

    Debra,
Thanks for the books loaned out page. It’s great! I also went to the editable to do lists and made on for myself with little notes for reminders. This is the best planner i have ever purchased! Praying for a safe and blessed delivery for your little one!
    Blessings.

    Debra,
I love these homeschool planning pages!! I am really enjoying them! I was wondering if you might consider making a daily planner lesson page. Very similar to what you have now, but instead of including the whole week, it would just be for one day. Still being able to put in our subjects for that given day and also having a spot for notes. Hope that makes sense :) Thanks so much for all you do here!! You are a blessing :)

  • Shauna Salmon

I’ve been working on getting our next term organized and I would really love the homeschool long term planning sheets in a 6 week format. The ten week spaces that are on the current sheet just don’t work for how I plan our terms and I would love a little extra space for notes in my long term planning so when I get to the weeks I haven’t forgotten my goals! Everything here is so lovely and I am getting things down on paper which is a huge help for our homeschool! Thanks so much for all your hard work that benefits so many of us.

  • Vickie Weers

I ditto the daily planner page. I was also wondering about a overall planner to help plan the year out. you know like goals & objectives for each kid -

  • james spensley

Im sure congrats are in order!

I was wondering if you would consider when time allows, for a course of Study page, maybe a goals page, and maybe Progress reports or some kind of award? Maybe a book report form? Something simple? I just love these prints and would love to have a whole binder full of matching items.
Thankyou for offering such a great product here and giving all the time you do! I’m hoping to be able to invest in the Notebooking pages treasury soon also! I can’t wait!

    God Bless you and yours!

    Mrs. S

  • james spensley

Oops, forgot to add, maybe a preschool planner page/ goal sheet? Thanks!

  • Becki Knowlton

I love this binder, I have 9 kids and I am homeschooling them. 6 of them we adopted after fostering them and they have special needs. I would love to have pages for medications and Dr appointments. Medications meaning: each child has their own page for when I gave each med to them, or when they are to take it. Also, a space for the date I filled(or next refill date) the RX so I know when it is getting close to time to refill. Maybe also a “symptoms” page. Such as, whenever our kids are complaining of this ache or pain or may have had a fever but we didn’t think it was anything when in fact later we need to know those things. :-)

I haven’t looked at all of the pages you have yet, so maybe you do have those things but if not, it would be a wonderful help to us.

Another thought is for playdates: I know you have a contacts page, I like each child to have their own friends page and I list the friends name, parents name and phone numbers. So maybe 2 lines per friend.

Thanks for making the greatest product that I have always searched for and never found until now! :-)

  • Carol Beuth

I would love some field trip forms. Something I could use to have contact info, pricing info, directions and things like that.
Just for the record though, I LOVE what you’ve done so far and I think it’s wonderful all that you’ve done. You’re one busy woman and I appreciate your making my life a little more organized with all of this!

Hi, Debra! I just wanted to tell you that I just became a member today, and I’m thrilled by all the amazing pages you’ve come up with! Thanks so much for all your hard work, and for offering this resource at such an affordable price! I also love that you are so open to suggestions for new pages. I’ve shared your website on my FB profile page to tell all my friends. :0)

  • SandraReade

    Hi Debra,
How’s that precious baby doing? What a beautiful child! Again Congrats! I just got our my planner and was removing pages with last years dates/year etc. I love the planner so much that I want to take it with me everywhere I go but A4 size is just not do-able on a regular basis. Is it possible to have the same format but in A5 sizing please? Maybe you have that option with the editible pages as I have not tried to find out how to do it. Look forward to hearing from. Blessings to you and your family, Sandra in New Zealand

  • MomsToolBelt

    Carol,

HaHa – busy, busy, busy! Life is FULL of work but also FULL of joy! God has blessed me abundantly. :) Adding the field trip form to my to-do list for this summer. Great idea!

  • MomsToolBelt

    Hi Sandra,

I haven’t been able to figure out to do the other sizing . . . yet. :(

  • Carrie Kiyabu

    Hi Debra,

Thanks again for the hard work & dedication you have put in to making this awesome planner work for all of us members. I love this and would like to know if your going to add more to the homeschooling part of this.
I would like to see forms such as assignments, homework, like a daily & weekly planner, also a scheduler.

  • LauraMagers

I’ve spent the most exciting evening putting together my planner in a way that works for me! These pages are incredible! I am, however, having difficulty figuring out the homeschool attendance log. Could someone shed some light on how you’ve used it? What goes across the top and how do you count the days along the side? I know I’m just not looking at it right… lol!

    Hi Debra,

    1) I am wondering if you can make the “Favorite Websites” page title *editable*, so we can further categorize them e.g.: “History Websites” or “Geography Websites” etc.

    2) I would also love, love, love it if you could make a few pages that are similar to the Record of the Learning Lifestyle (found on CBD), only that are *editable*, with the days of the week listed on some lines down one side to journal a bit and a grid of larger boxes that spans across a two page spread (again, with each box *editable* so we can name our own categories/subjects) to record what the kids did that week. I like the concept of the ROTTL, but much prefer loose leaf pages and would like the freedom to choose my own titles for each box and would especially like for it to match my homeschool notebook that I’m creating here :-)

    3) Thanks for all your help keeping us organized :-D It is much appreciated.

  • Nicole SHale

I LOVE THIS!!! I don’t know why I waited so long to get it!!! Last year I bought another homeschool planner and “made do”, but I could have saved so much time and energy if I’d just simply listened to YOU!!!! LOL!!!
Debra, next time just tell me to just cut out the junk and come straight to you!!! :-)

One thing I’d like to see (and maybe it’s here, I just haven’t found it yet) is a curriculum owned type of page – you know one that you list the various types of curriculums/books/software/cd roms/etc. that one owns or is currently going to be using for that current year. Editable would be nice too. (I hope I’m making sense – I have 4 children, the youngest is 10 months old and is currently teething – a.k.a. not sleeping at night too well, so I’m sleep deprived!)

Thank you again for such a wonderful resource!!

  • VickieWeers

I could use some daily planner sheets that could also include dinner plans and stuff like that.

  • Una Tweedie

    Hi Debra,

Thank you for the seasonal themed Weekly Glance pages! I’ve already printed them and filled my MHJ :-) Love it!!

Could we have the Long Term Lesson Planner (single subject) in a 12 week format (one for each trimester (term) of the school year)?
    -AND-
the Daily Lesson Planner as a WEEKLY and MONTHLY Lesson Planner with the title and days changed to “week(ly)” and “month(ly)” or “January” etc.? Removing the “week” section and leaving the “term” and “year”. Or, alternatively- if you just allow for editing in those areas we can name them whatever we choose (also enabling use as a LOG/Record as well as a Planner). Thus creating a MULTI-SUBJECT, LONG TERM LESSON PLANNER/LOG. That would be a tremendous help to our planning.

    With MUCH! appreciation :-)

Hi Debra- Thank you so much for all the wonderful updates. Just love what your doing every month. I was just wondering if your going to make something like a grade sheet, reward & award page in the next updates?

  • Heavenlyhomemaker

Blessings Beloved =) Thank you for all of the wonderful pages you have blessed us with! I was wondering if you had a “Reading Log” in the works that may include a “Minutes Read” section? For my younger ones (and some of the older ones who tend to ‘cheat’ on minutes read), this proves a great resource! If so, may I humbly suggest a parent sign off box as well, so Momma and Daddy can be sure they have upheld their responsibility of reading accordingly

May God continue to Bless you,
    Holly

  • Lisa

These pages are wonderful. Would it be possible to have designs for older boys ages 12-17?

  • Sarah Waters

Hi Debra, I would love to see a printable cerificates page that I can customise for my children. Sarah

  • Jacquee Mills

I plan to homeschool my 5 children during the summer and for the 2012-13 school year. I have been using your planner pages since you started and now I want to use your school pages. I see your written description on how to use this section but I am not sure what a planned school week is supposed to look like. Might you do up a sample like the earlier financial file? I would like that very much. I’m just not clear on how to plan a homeschool week. Nothing in depth, i know you are busy. Just a quick and simple visual. :)
